An early indication of what the Calne Arcade, where we will be moving in, hopefully soon,
will look like.
Bibles, Books and More
Whether you're looking for a new Bible, special gift or looking to learn more, we have something for everyone. Since 1979, Calne Christian Bookshop has been a hub for Christians seeking quality Bibles, books, cards, stationery and special gifts. Our shop is run by volunteers who are passionate about providing a welcoming environment for our customers.
Store Update!
The shop is temporarily closed whilst we prepare to move into a new premises within Calne, check back in for updates.
We are talking to the landlord about allowing us to move in earlier once our unit is completed. We hope this iwll happen later this month (October) and we will be able to start trading in early November.
Please pray that this may happen as planned and for safety as we move all the bookcases and stock into the new unit.
While we wait to move into our new premises please keep the shop and its future in your prayers.
Particularly:-
The new bank account is now set up, thank you for your prayers for this.
Please continue to keep the Calne Arcade project in your prayers for quick completion and safety for all those working there.
The tenancy agreement is now signed, thank you for your prayers for this.
As we approach the time when we will be open in the arcade please pray for people to volunteer to help in the shop.
As we wait for the Arcade to be completed we are planning some 'pop-up' shops.
We are going to be having bookstalls at some church ladies meetings. We have asked them for permission to invite people to them. Both meetings start at 2:30pm, we will set up the stall by 2pm for people who don't want to stay for the meetings.
First, on Wednesday 14th October, at Swindon Evangelical Church, 17-19 Devizes Road,
Old Town. SN1 4BH.
We are taking some stock to the ladies meeting there. We will be setup by 2pm to sell,
then the meeting will start at 2:30pm.
Second, on Monday 2nd November, at Ladyfield Church, Hungerdown Lane, Chippenham. Also for a ladies meeting, again, we will be set up by 2pm to sell and the meeting starts at 2:30pm.
